Why should I hire you?
Because I'm professional yet easy to get on with. I always aim to make my shoots for clients a collaboration. By understanding what you need and then using my skills as a photographer to create the best possible images that you will find of genuine use. Working in this way just makes things nice for everyone. Hiring me for professional photography shouldn't be scary or a chore, what it should be is a great experience. Professional yet personal.
How much do you charge?
All my photography services are built in a way to fulfil your needs. Final price depends on location, time shooting, post processing and your licensing requirements.
My rates are based on the amount of time I spend shooting and include an equivalent amount of time for post production.
What I do in the time is also flexible. For example, a lifestyle shoot can produce quite a few images in a certain time where as an architecture or food shoot can produce less images because there is much more setup time.
I don't give you "ALL" the RAW images. I will make a selection from our shoot to show as proofs that make you, your space or things look great and which represent my skills as a professional photographer. From those Basic Edit images the final images can be chosen for Select Editing as included in your package or as required. See more about my rates here.
What equipment do you use?
I've shot with Canon cameras for more decades than I care to admit. I love using Canon and currently shoot with a 5D MkIV as my primary camera. Shooting with Canon gives me the ability to use incredible lenses like the EF 50mm f1.2 which gives beautiful bokeh for portraits, or the amazing TS-E 17mm with its ability to keep Spaces looking upright.
I will add light either with Canon speedlights or Elinchrom studio grade flash.
Depending on the shoot situation I can be tethered to an iPad or my Macbook Pro.
Post shooting I use Apple computers with Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop to edit. A Wacom graphics tablet gives me fine control when editing.
All images are backed up multiple times at my office and offsite.
Do you retouch the images?
Basic Edit images will be checked for exposure, sharpness, colour balance and crop before I share them with you.
Select Editing for final images depend very much on the subject matter. People photography can have dust deleted from clothing, stray hairs removed, blemishes tweaked and other distractions removed. Spaces could have extra sharpness added, verticals absolutely vertical and dynamic range increased. And Things photography might have saturation boosted, backgrounds smoothed or labels straightened. What ever your images need we can discuss it.
How do I get my images?
Basic Edit images will usually be available with in 24hrs. They will be delivered via cloud storage (DropBox, WeTransfer etc) for you to make your choice for the Select Edit.
Select Edit images will be delivered via cloud storage.
Images can also be delivered on memory stick or CD if required (At extra cost).
What do you mean by licensing?
Like all people who make creative content (music, books, movies etc) my work is licensed for use by my clients. I always retain the copyright.
My basic usage licence allows the client to use the purchased images for their website and social media accounts only. I'm always happy to talk about extended usages if you need it.
